The Istanbul Land Walls Yedikule–Gasworks Transformation Project is a comprehensive urban regeneration proposal that aims to bring long-abandoned sites back into the city fabric. Increasing the visibility and public value of a place that has witnessed many historic events was one of its main goals.

Green and blue infrastructure reduces the urban heat-island effect, and sustainable planning strategies set out how Yedikule can become a carbon-positive neighbourhood within ten years.
